SpendHound alternatives (2026) for small and mid-size companies
The main SpendHound alternatives are Vertice (which acquired Vendr in 2026), Tropic, Sastrify, Spendflo, Cledara and Ramp's procurement tools. For many companies under 1,000 employees, SpendHound itself remains a strong choice because its Pro plan is free. Look elsewhere if you need a managed negotiation service, a full procurement workflow, software payments, or evidence from your own inbox rather than market benchmarks.
All facts below come from each vendor's own pages, checked on 2026-09-30. Where we could not verify something, we left it out.

Why look for an alternative?
People usually look for another tool for one of these reasons:
- They want someone to run the negotiation for them.
- They need intake, approvals and purchasing workflows.
- They want to pay for software through the same tool.
- Their receipts are not in accounting yet, or they want to act on the competing offers they already received.

Vertice (now including Vendr)
Vertice is an AI procurement platform. It announced the acquisition of Vendr on June 1, 2026 (Vertice). Its pricing page does not list prices. It describes a value-based model and claims average savings of 20% (Vertice pricing).
It offers intake-to-procure workflows, SaaS purchasing with pricing data for more than 32,000 vendors, and expert services. Best for: mid-market and enterprise teams that want a full procurement platform with expert help.
Tropic
Tropic's pricing page says "Starting at $3,083 per month", priced by employee count (Tropic pricing). It includes spend intelligence, renewal and proposal agents, and optional full-service negotiation. Best for: companies ready to pay for a procurement platform and hand off negotiations.
Sastrify
Sastrify sells modules: Software Management from €12.5k per year, Vendor Benchmarks from €15k, and Expert Procurement from €25k (Sastrify pricing). Best for: mid-market companies that want a dedicated procurement specialist.
Spendflo
Spendflo prices on a platform fee plus completed requests. Its Grow tier targets teams without a procurement function, with intake and approval agents and contract storage with renewal alerts (Spendflo pricing). Best for: companies that need structured intake and approvals, not just savings.
Cledara
Cledara combines software payments with management. Its Basic plan targets 25 to 50 staff and costs £100 per month unless you meet a virtual-card condition. A Spend Optimization add-on at £150 per month includes pricing benchmarks and a "Negotiation and Renewal Copilot (AI)" (Cledara pricing). Best for: small companies that want to pay for and control software in one place.
Ramp Procurement
Ramp says its procurement tools let you "benchmark quotes against thousands of real, anonymized transactions" and set renewal reminders (Ramp). We could not verify pricing for these features. Best for: companies already using Ramp for cards and bills.
Ryvala
Ryvala is pre-launch and in private beta. It connects to Gmail once, read-only, and revokes access after the scan. It finds the software you pay for and when each contract renews, then matches the competitor pitches already in your inbox to those renewals. It drafts the email; you send it. It does not store email bodies.
It has no benchmark database, no expert negotiators, and no accounting integration. It only works with Gmail today. Best for: founders and ops leads at 30 to 200-person companies on Google Workspace who want to use real rival offers at their next renewal. See Ryvala vs SpendHound.
Which one should you choose?
- You want free benchmarks and expert help, and have under 1,000 employees: stay with or try SpendHound.
- You want someone else to negotiate: Tropic, Sastrify or Vertice.
- You need procurement workflows: Spendflo or Vertice.
- You want to pay for software and track renewals in one tool: Cledara, or Ramp if you already use it.
- You want leverage from rival offers in your inbox: Ryvala. It can also sit next to SpendHound.
